DPA FAQs

Are DPA programs just for first time home buyers?

Down payment assistance (DPA) programs are great for first time home buyers, but they are not limited to those purchasing their first home. Anyone who has not owned a home in the last three years and meets other qualification criteria is eligible.

Is this a homebuyer grant or loan?

We offer a deferred loan that is forgivable after 5 or 10 years of owner occupancy, depending on the amount.

Who is eligible for down payment assistance?

Down payment assistance is available for first-time homebuyers and for those who have not owned a home in the last three years. To qualify, buyers must purchase a single-family home in an eligible area, live in the home as their primary residence, and have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI).
